QR and barcode readers are excellent choices for locations where card or code-based access control is not suitable or desired for some reason, or where there is a desire to take advantage of the possibilities offered by QR codes. These devices typically read the text field of QR codes and can operate behind a controller, or they can be connected directly to a computer as a virtual keyboard. They provide fast and efficient data input.
In addition to reading QR and barcodes, the QR-R100S also reads 13.56 MHz MIFARE cards, allowing for a hybrid card and QR code system to be implemented.
The device supports 26- and 34-bit Wiegand communication and RS485 communication, which already provides great flexibility and a wide range of integration options. Additionally, it can also be used as a virtual card reader via USB, as mentioned above.
