Wiegand proximity auxiliary readers are suitable devices for complementing high-security access control systems. The Wiegand standard is extremely simple, allows cabling up to 50 meters, and is one of the most widespread interfaces in access control systems.
S5-REM supports the 26-bit Wiegand system and is capable of reading 125 kHz EM cards. It features an aesthetic metal housing, LED feedback, and a buzzer. Security is enhanced by reverse polarity protection, and thanks to its vandal-proof design and IP66 rating, it is also suitable for outdoor installation.
