The module can be used for remote control (e.g. gate control), as an add-on for alarm control panels, or even as a stand-alone GSM alarm control panel. It has 5 contact controlled inputs, one of which is officially a tamper input, but can also be used as a normal input, and 1 relay output (relay type: NO/NC). The panel also has a battery connector and an expansion connector, which can be used to add extra outputs or to add an additional alarm panel to operate as a stand-alone GSM alarm control panel.

As a stand-alone GSM alarm control panel, 4 zones can be distinguished, which can be assigned with unique Contact ID or zone codes. Some basic functions of this mode of operation are available without an additional alarm panel, but most require such an expansion panel.

The device can send SMS and/or voice messages to 8 phone numbers. The sending of this notification can be triggered by a signal on one of the inputs, a remote fault, internal sabotage or even GSM module arming/disarming. It is also possible to provide notifications with a separate voice message which is played when the call is received.

You can also control the output(s) by free call or SMS. And control by caller ID can prevent control from unauthorised telephone numbers. In this case, up to 1000 control phone numbers can be stored in the on-board memory, but the numbers can also be stored on the SIM card. Control from any phone number without identification, providing unlimited user numbers. In addition, it is possible to control the phone by SMS, even if the settings are different.

It is also possible to control the output(s) directly by DTMF, using the push buttons on the handset to control the output(s) independently. This mode of operation requires the receipt of a call to the module, which is available at a call charge depending on the service provider.

The module can store up to 16,000 events, recording the status of inputs and outputs, power restarts, GSM network and module status information, incoming and outgoing calls and SMS messages.

Instead of using the previously mentioned tamper input as a tamper indicator, it can also be used as a normal input, with the same settings as the other inputs. This input also provides the possibility of a factory reset.

The built-in Anti Jammer System (AJS) provides protection against GSM jammers. In the event of a drastic drop in GSM signal strength or a network disconnection, a separate alarm or output control can be set.

The device continuously monitors the power supply and the GSM network status, the latter can be viewed in 1-hour graphs.

Programming can be done via SMS command, voice menu, computer or Android mobile phone.
