Standalone card readers are high-security devices suitable for controlling almost any access point. Their major advantage is that, beyond card identification, they can independently control door locks, eliminating the need for a separate door control panel in the system. Their installation and use are extremely simple.

S7-EM(V2) is an outdoor standalone card reader, an upgraded version of the old and well-known S7-EM with enhanced capabilities. It can be programmed using its dedicated remote control, but user registration and deletion can also be performed with a master card. Although primarily a card reader, it can also handle access codes when connected to an auxiliary keypad reader.

Compared to its predecessor, it manages fewer users, but still more than enough. The expanded features and the automatically configured Wiegand input and output make up for the reduced user capacity. The device also includes a bulk card enrollment function, allowing all cards to be registered within minutes with just a few button presses, without swiping each card. An additional benefit is the guest function, which allows cards or codes with limited usage numbers to be added.

The package includes the reader, a remote control for programming, a master card, two screws with wall plugs for surface mounting, a diode for connecting the lock, and a Torx key for removing the backplate.
