The DORCAS-SF-99 series encompasses DORCAS's fire-resistant products with low, narrow strikes with radial latch, making them ideal for narrow door frames. The device operates in a fail-secure mode, meaning it requires power to unlock. The device comes with a fire resistance performance declaration, indicating that it maintains its integrity and insulation (EI) for 120 minutes. You can find the performance declaration and its explanation in the attachments. It is important to note that the performance declaration is only valid when used with the corresponding strike plate. DORCAS electric strikes should always be installed indoors, in a place well protected from rain. If you are looking for an electric strike suitable for outdoor installation, the waterproof series models are the right choice. However, these do not have a fire resistance performance certification. MAINTENANCE! Regular inspection of the mechanics of electric strikes (refreshing lubrication) is necessary to ensure optimal operation. |
