The device operates in a fail-secure mode, meaning it requires power to unlock. Installation is recommended for plastic doors. DORCAS electric strikes should always be installed indoors, in a place well protected from rain. If you are looking for an electric strike suitable for outdoor installation, the waterproof series models are the right choice. ATTENTION! Due to their operation, electric strikes with internal memory (Aa) can only be safely controlled with a pulse signal (<1s). If the door is actually opened and closed before the signal ends, the memory will remember the opening after the signal interruption, allowing entry even though the door has already been exited. MAINTENANCE! Regular inspection of the mechanics of electric strikes (refreshing lubrication) is necessary to ensure optimal operation. |
